Stacy Murphy – Physician Associate
Stacy is a state-licensed Physician Assistant (PA) accredited by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University after receiving her Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Iowa. She has over 11 years of both surgical and clinical experience as a Physician Assistant. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She provides care and education for patients during consultations, pre-op visits, assisting in the operating room and follow-up visits. Outside of the practice, Stacy enjoys spending time with her family and golfing.
Mindy Miller – MSN, CRNA
Mindy is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with 13 years of anesthesia experience in the Des Moines area. She started her nursing career in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics. Since completion of her master’s in Nursing at the University of Iowa, she has provided anesthetic services for a wide variety of surgical cases and patient populations. She has administered quality anesthesia to the patrons of Des Moines Plastic Surgery™ since the doors first opened in 2006. Mindy has certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as well as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
As an anesthesia business owner, she divides her time between Des Moines Plastic Surgery™ and several small rural facilities throughout Iowa. She resides in Ankeny and enjoys raising her two children. On a professional level, she was the past president of the Iowa Associations of Nurse Anesthetists and is currently active in her state and national organizations.
Chasity Vajgrt – RN, BSN
Chasity earned her Registered Nurse certification from Mercy College of Health Sciences and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. With over a decade of experience in both surgical and clinical settings, she is passionate about patient care and enjoys working in the operating room. Chasity holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching her son play sports, running, and cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones.
Alexis Loyd – RN, BSN
Alexis received her degree of nursing from Grand View University and brings her previous operating room experience to the Des Moines Plastic Surgery team. She enjoys helping guests in their entire journey at DMPS, from first visit to follow-ups and everything in-between. Fun facts about Alexis include she has two dogs, loves pasta, likes watching hockey, and has a profound collection of Funko pop figures.
Administrative Staff
Brenda Bohnenkamp – Director
Brenda is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Management of Information Systems. Brenda is the Director of Des Moines Plastic Surgery™ and Coachlight Clinic & Spa. She is responsible for the overall daily operations, financials, human resources and marketing of these two businesses.
Jordan Ripley, RN, BSN – Practice Manager
Jordan brings over a decade of nursing experience and leadership to Des Moines Plastic Surgery. A graduate of Mercy College of Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Jordan has spent the majority of her career in intensive care settings, honing her expertise and dedication to patient care. She is ACLS and BLS certified, ensuring a high standard of safety and professionalism in every aspect of her work.
As the Practice Manager at Des Moines Plastic Surgery, Jordan combines her clinical knowledge with strong organizational skills to lead the team and ensure an exceptional patient experience. Her attention to detail and passion for healthcare make her a vital part of the practice’s success.
When she’s not at work, Jordan enjoys spending quality time with her family and exploring the outdoors. Her commitment to both her professional and personal life reflects her well-rounded approach to health, wellness, and balance.
Lauren Caleb – Marketing & Social Media Strategist
Lauren holds a Bachelors Degree from Iowa State University and has over a decade of experience specifically to the beauty and wellness industry in the fields of marketing, online presence, social media and branding. In addition she is a licensed cosmetologist, member of the Professional Beauty Association, and enjoys being an active member in the community by volunteering and fundraising for various organizations. Lauren is dedicated to leading our marketing initiatives and helping tell the story of our team and the services we offer.
Payton Hein
Payton received her Bachelors degree from South Dakota State University and brings over 5 years of experience working in medical inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. Grew up in a small town in South Dakota. Nearly every guest at Des Moines Plastic Surgery works with Payton as she leads the front office and is the ‘gatekeeper’ to our surgery schedule! In her free time she enjoys being with her family and discovering new things to do in Des Moines.
