Patients are required to have an assigned ‘caretaker’ (family member, friend etc.) for the first 24 hours after surgery as they will not be able to drive themselves following the surgery and it is in best practice they have someone to help assist them as needed.

6 to 8 weeks is the typical time needed for recuperation after breast augmentation. If issues emerge, such as an infection or a leaking implant, the process could be prolonged.

It is vital that you follow Dr. Robbins’s orders to reduce the likelihood of these complications following breast augmentation surgery. It will be necessary to wear a supportive bra without an underwire for a time, and incision sites should be cared for as directed.
